Making A Camping Tent From Scratch

DIY Tent

Are you preparing for a camping trip, but don't have a camping tent and you don't have enough funds to get one? Or you have reached the camping site and you've discovered that you forgot your tent. You may also just be wanting to be creative and see how you can create important thing from less important on.

In this tutorial, am going to walk you through some methods of how you can create a camping tent to make ends meet for your trip or boost your creativity.

Materials required:-

  1. At least 2 Poles/ wooden stick posts that are the same as your height or the height you want your tent to be.
    tarpaulin

  2. Rope or thick strings
  3. Waterproof tarp

Procedure/ steps to follow

1. Search for a suitable flat place near. This place may be near things like water, fruit trees etc, that you may need.

It should be topographically good for a great experience.

2. Use a knife or any sharp object to make two holes, living space between them equal to the length of your tarp. If digging holes seems like a big burden, just sharpen the poles and make markings of where your holes will be.

3. Lay your tarp so that it covers the two holes. If the tarp is not big enough together for your desired size, you can add it to another tarp if you have any by making small holes at the end of each tarp and tying them with a string. But tie them well to prevent water entry.

4. Push the tarp to the middle in order to access your holes and now it’s time to bring your poles.

5. Use a rope to connect the poles together. Now it’s time to throw the tarp over the poles.

6. Tie strings to the four corners and pull them to the other side of the tent to stretch your tent. Tie these strings to rocks to make sure they don't move.

7. Get other tarps if you have any and cover them to the opposite openings in your tent. I think now it’s time to prepare the flow of your tent for a nice step.

Method 2

Materials

Tarp

Long Rope

Space between two trees

Procedure
Long Ropes

1. Get a spot between two trees. These trees should not be too close. The place should be flat and from big rocks.

2.Tie one end of the rope to one tree and tie the other end to the other tree, but make sure that it is well stretched. The height of the rope from the ground depends how long you want your tent to be and the length of your tarp.

3. Throw your tarp over the rope. Tie strings to the four corners of the tarp and pull them to the other side of the tent to stretch it(the tarp). Tie these strings to rocks to make sure they don't move.

4. Get other tarps (if you have any) and cover them to the opposite openings in your tent.

I think that now you have the basics required to set up a tent from simple tools, but all that is needed is that you are creative as these steps may be changed based on the conditions in the area that you are working from and the materials present.
